How to Apply?
It's a good idea to try two or three samples when choosing your foundation shade to ensure you find your perfect match. If a shade looks too ashy then it’s too pale for you, if it looks orange then it’s too dark.
Don’t forget – many people need a summer and winter foundation shade, you can also mix shades to custom create your perfect match this way all year round.
Step 1) Before you start, ensure that moisturiser is fully absorbed into the skin; sprinkle a little foundation into the lid of your jar Step 2) Using your Super Kabuki brush or Flocked Sponge swirl into the minerals to pick up product and tap off excess Step 3) Starting where coverage is needed most, apply in circular, buffing motions Step 4) Continue applying in light layers until your desired coverage is achieved

Porcelain is suitable for very pale skin tones. It’s important to find the right shade of foundation for your skin tone. Try our inexpensive samples in order to ensure you have an exact match. Remember to match your foundation to the skin tone on your jaw line, and not on your hand (they may be very different). If a shade looks too ashy it’s too pale for you, if it looks orange (even the slightest bit!) it’s too dark. With mineral foundation it’s easy to mix shades together as well. For guidance choosing your shade look at your skin in daylight, you may notice that you have more pinky tones or more yellowy tones, so then choose a shade which matches the undertones. Looking at the veins in your wrists can also help, if the veins look blue, you’re more likely to have cool colouring, with pinky undertones and if the veins look more green, warm undertones and yellow colouring.

Once I moved from Santa Monica, CA to FL, I left behind my Colorist who would blend minerals each time I came in to match my skin tone. I thought how would I ever find a powder to replace hers? I did with Lily Lolo - Popsicle! It is challenging to find the rose color I need for my skin tone. My only "complaint" which is a bit too strong of a word is, I wish they made the cream foundations that matched the same names of the powder. If they made cream with the rose color in it, I'd be tickled pink! Thank you Lily Lolo for making it as pure and animal friendly as you can. Your loyal customer since 2018. Btw, I'm also 66 years old, the new 40.

Perfect for me
I love this mineral foundation! The finish is lovely and it doesn't feel heavy. I was using the benefits foundation powder before and found it to heavy and switched to lily lolo and it doesn't look cakey. I also like the swatch colors for tan skin. I'm a "coffee bean" normally. But darker in the summer and can easily find a darker shade. I'm hoping the cream foundation expands in color though.

It is so perfect
I recently purchased Lily Lolo’s mineral foundation, setting powder, and concealer powder, and all three products work beautifully on my skin. I’ve been using mineral makeup for 10 years, so I’ve tried countless brands over the years. For example, BareMinerals offers great coverage, but it feels too heavy for me (though it’s ideal for those who need high coverage and it doesn’t cause breakouts). Jane Iredale, unfortunately, doesn’t last long on my skin and causes breakouts, while Colorescience also led to breakouts. One of my favorites is Only Minerals, a Japanese brand, and glo minerals didn’t work for me due to off shades and breakouts.
What sets Lily Lolo apart is that it doesn’t clog my pores and leaves my skin looking smooth. It provides medium coverage that doesn’t feel heavy, and it gives me the best pore-smoothing effect I’ve experienced. I will definitely repurchase Lily Lolo!
